Hi and welcome to today's issue of Keeping in Touch.
A big, warm 'hello' to all our new subscribers. It's been a
couple of weeks since our last issue and it's good to be back.
First of all - Happy Canada Day to our Canadian subscribers.
Hope you all had a safe and fun long weekend.
For those of you who joined KIT by way of
LeaderZKorner, have
you heard the latest about our friend, Ron Kimball? He's been
working hard on his music career and one of the songs they just
finished recording is going to be used in the Independence Day
Parade in Washington, D.C. The song is called Victory and it
will be presented from the Purple Heart recipient float in the
parade. Victory will also be included as a bonus on their new
CD release. So our fair Ronnie Kimball is just a touch excited.
I haven't heard back from him about the title of the new CD but
when I do, I'll be sure to pass it along. Way to go Ronnie!
This is a good time to wish all our U.S. subscribers a Happy
Independence Day. Have a safe and happy holiday.
Today's Feature Article comes to us from Kevin Bidwell. In
Releasing the Perseverance Inside You! he does a good job of
showing you how to stay motivated in whatever you have chosen
to do.
Have you ever had your system crash? Lost all your files due
to a virus? Maybe your hard drive decided it's had enough and
you've lost your files. That is truly heart-breaking. It's
also a great testimonial for why you should create a regular
back up of all your data files. My husband's hard drive
crashed a couple of weeks ago. Jimm does a lot of work with
graphics in his little printing business. Everything was gone.
I was doing a little searching around for something new for KIT
and came across a program called Get Data Back. After reading
through what it says it can do, I suggested Jimm take a look.
Guess what? He's been able to recover a good portion of his
files. That's after re-formatting his hard drive and reloading
the Windows 2000 Operating System. He was called in to work so
he wasn't able to fill me in on everything so I told him we'll
want a report. I've included the link for Get Data Back in the
Hot Tip Section.
In our Special Feature, What's On Your Door, Nuthin'? -- Susan
James shares a special view on how to focus on you and want
you want to achieve.
Remember, if you haven't started to keep track of your business
records, there's no time like 'right now' to begin. Even after
taking a couple of weeks off from some of my responsibilities,
I'm still not finished. I've also been working on some new and
exciting projects that I'll be sharing with you soon. Let's get
to the rest of today's issue. By way of information for those
of you who have submitted ads for Tons of Hits, I'm sorry they
didn't show up in KIT Klassifeds. The owner was contacted
twice to advise him I wouldn't be publishing for two weeks and
I have hear back from him yet. So I suppose we won't have to
worry about it -- just send me your ads this week for Saturday's
KIT Klassifieds on Thursday, as usual.
Have a great day and keep on smiling.

Releasing the Perseverance Inside You!
Kevin Bidwell, All-In-One-Business.com
I believe the MOST IMPORTANT CHARACTERISTIC you need to
possess in order to find success in ANY endeavor is
PERSEVERANCE. Perseverance could be defined as "self-
motivation"--the ability to pick YOURSELF up when the going
gets tough.
Now I know that many of you have a supportive family, sup-
portive friends. You also have me--I hopefully give you a
little jolt of support from time to time. But when it comes
down to it, no one can keep you motivated but you.
So, how can you get it done? How can YOU be your best
motivator?
I want to give you a couple keys today:
First, you have to know WHY you are doing the things that
you are doing. Whether it is training for the Olympics or
raising your teenager, without having a good reason WHY you
are putting yourself through this you are doomed to give up.
Why are you trying to build a business? Is it because you
want the freedom that owning your own business can provide?
Is it because you want more for you and your family? What
is your PERSONAL reason.
Second, you have to keep the WHY in front of you all the
time. This is hard for some people. They want to think
about the "why" just once in a while. But if you will keep
the reason WHY you are pursuing such a difficult path in
front of you all the time, the hardships will seem worth
pushing through.
I made a special wallpaper for my computer with pictures
that remind me of WHY I am pursuing the goals in my life
that I am. You may want to put a picture on your wall or
take some time each day imagining the end result of your
labors. Whatever it takes to keep the WHY in front of you
make sure to do.
Third, give yourself mini-rewards for each baby step. Some
people ask me what I mean by this. Let me give you an
example of how this worked for a sales company I consulted
for several years ago:
The sales manager knew that if he could just get his sales
people to sit down in front of enough prospects, they would
make sales. They all had good closing percentages. The
problem was they never made enough appointments. Here's
what I had them do:
The sales manager set up one evening and one afternoon each
week that were designated "phone time". All of his sales
people were required to come in for those two hour periods
and make phone calls for appointments.
He knew that he needed each of his sales people to make four
appointments during each of those two hour periods. He knew
that in order to make two appointments, they needed to talk
to 10 people. He also knew that in order to TALK to ten
people, they would have to, on average, dial the phone 60
times.
Each of the sales people was given--are you ready for this--
60 M&M's candies and 10 Carmel candies. Each salesperson
set them out on his or her desk, all in rows.
As each sales person completed a phone call--even if they
got no answer--they would note it in their log and eat one
M&M. Each time they actually talked to a prospect, they
got to eat one of the Caramels.
At the end of the evening they all went out for Pizza--with
the sales manager paying for everyone who had made at least
four appointments.
What kind of results did this get? In just six weeks there
was a 30% increase in sales--all because of a few pieces of
candy.
If you reward yourself every step of the way and concentrate
on the rewards it will help you to stay more motivated.
Next, if you want to stay motivated, learn to take breaks.
Fatigue is the enemy of motivation. If you are tired and
hungry, you will much more easily get discouraged.
My family and I take from sundown Friday to sundown Saturday
to do NOTHING. No work. No lawn mowing. No computers.
As I write this, I am pretty tired but I know that it is
only a short time until I get my day of rest.
What good is it if you become the wealthiest person in the
world and have children who can't recognize you? Is that
really success?
Learn to take the time to relax.
Finally, learn to have a little faith. Faith in yourself,
faith in your plans, faith in the abundance of the world
around us, faith in your faith. There is no problem that is
eternal...trials are always temporary. A tough couple days
today may be followed by rich abundance tomorrow. That's
the way things work in this crazy world. Have faith that
you will make it...and you will.
I hope this helps you a little today. Remember that today
is NEVER the day to give up.

4Entry - Store and Organize Your Passwords
4 Entry is a terrific product whose time has come. I'm still
adding to my password details. It's amazing to realize just
how many of these you accumulate after spending some time
online. Organizing all your passwords, ID details and
information in one safe place gives you a sense of relief.
And since we have been talking about not backing up, you've
removed that risk by having them safe and protected in one
place.
Your passwords are not necessarily safe on your computer.
Anyone can steal them. Your computer might crash. Even sending
out your computer for service can expose your passwords to
someone unsavory.
Sure there are loads of programs out there that will keep your
information for you. Unfortunately, you can't always know how
much extra information is being sent about your computer, your
surfing habits and sometimes more. Personally, it's becoming
difficult to know who can be trusted with these details and who
can't.
With 4entry NO ONE has access to your passwords -- not even
4Entry. Check it out today!

What's On Your Door, Nuthin'?
(by Susan James)
***************************
Someone once asked me: "How come children get what they
want and adults don't ?"
I then usually ask, "Well, what's on ‘your' door?"
Lots of children, if they have some form of allowing parents,
have pictures of horses on their walls and doors, and pictures
of other stuff that they like and want.
If you'd study this a bit....you may find that the kids have the
stuff in their experience that is pasted on their doors and walls.
As I write this I have two girlfriends with children who also
have horses ! When you go to the children's bedrooms, guess
what's on their walls? Horses!
So, what's the catch?
Adults think it's childish and messes up the walls and stuff.
Therefore, Adults are too "big" to paste their dreams on their
own walls, because, why? Well, it's childish and messes up
the walls!
But it gets even more ironic. Many businesses have story or
goal boards in their offices. Car Dealers have them. Movie and
TV Producer offices have them. Have them, what? Walls that
have stuff they want to happen, pasted up there!
We allow children to paste stuff up on our doors and walls,
and successful businesses have their desires, goals and
intentions pasted up on their walls and doors, but what about
the rest of us?
What about the rest of real life? What do our families want?
What do we as individuals want for our lives and lifestyles.
Are we just supposed to help our employers reach their
business goals and desires, of which we may or may not
receive direct benefit from?
What about our own personal lives? What about our dreams
coming true? Do you have a personal story board or Magic
Wall on your door or wall at your home, or in your own office
that pertains to your life and lifestyle?
On my door, I have my life. I have it glued and pasted. It is my
life. A section of it I'll tell you about, because this is the part
of me that shows up in my writing. I have a Magic Wall too!
Over a year ago, Vanity Fair did a huge article on Successful
Women Authors and Publishers. Annie Lebowitz took these
great pictures of these women, and one of the pictures was of
about 15 of them in a warehouse sitting.
Writers, Authors Publishers, non-fiction, fiction. You would
know them. A great photo shoot !
For a while I had this 4 page spread in a binder with some of
my other intentions. But I kept setting stuff on top of the
binder and would forget to look at it.
So up on my door it went.
What has my Magic Wall and Magic Door brought me?
Over 30 writing products and extensions and the opportunities
attached to my writing just keep flowing to me.
Point? Act as a child. Dare to put your dreams up where you
can see them. There is a true "Mechanics" at work, and it
simply works! You're Dreams just might come true. Mine
are and have been. (end/sj)

I've been viewing a couple of different options for placing
subscriber ads. For now, we'll continue as we have. Details
for placing your ads are contained below.
Advertising is important, however, it's been taking far too
much of my time to place them. I need to be totally up front
with you about this. I've repeatedly requested that you format
your ads. I've included the Reformat It tool and I've shown
how to format an ad.
Admittedly, the subscriber ads that create the biggest problem
do come from Ezine King and Tons of Hits. That's why I'm
working on a new solution. If you have any suggestions, I'll
be happy to hear them. I don't want to pull the KIT Klassifieds
issue but I will if I don't come up with a solution. You can
send your suggestions for the ad issue to:
mailto:lois@home4success.com?Subject=Ad_Solutions
Thank you to those of you who faithfully send your nicely
formatted ads. I really do appreciate it. :-)
Free subscriber ads can be submitted to this link only:
